Cathi Geary
Cathi Geary is a regular attendant of the Quaker Steak and Lube Bike Night.
“Seventeen years after a brain injury disrupted her career, Geary once again has a regular radio gig — on the Mid-Ohio Breakfast Club, a morning show that airs on WDLR (1550 AM and 92.9 FM) in Delaware and WQTT (1270 AM and 98.7 FM) in Marysville.
On May 6, 2000, Geary and her 8- and 3-year-old daughters were severely injured in an accident that killed Geary’s friend, Roger Love. Love was towing a trailer of sod for Geary’s yard when his vehicle went off the road and hit a tree on Route 674 near Canal Winchester.
Geary’s older daughter, Brittany, lost a leg below the knee. Geary’s younger daughter, Sydney, suffered skull fractures. Geary herself had a crushed leg, a lacerated liver, ruptured spinal disks and a brain injury. She spent much of the next year in a wheelchair.”
